Aishwarya Sridhar is a 26 year old, National Geographic Explorer & award winning wildlife film-maker, photographer, presenter & Founder of Bambee Studios. In 2021, she became the youngest conservation storyteller from India to join the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP) as an Emerging League Fellow. A 3-time TEDx Speaker and a Canon EOS Influencer, her debut documentary spotlighted the plight of the last remaining wetlands of Mumbai.
Her Story
In 2020, she became the first Indian woman to win at the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Awards in London. Her work has been telecast on leading networks like National Geographic WILD, Discovery, Arte, KBS, NHK, Love Nature, BBC Earth and her images has been published in international and national newspapers and magazines like BBC Wildlife, Guardian, Mongabay, Digital Camera, Times of India, Sanctuary Asia, Saevus to name a few. She's a Youth Ambassador for the Voices of Asian Elephant Society and an Only One Ambassador; advocating for our Oceans. Sridhar was named one of the 50 Explorers changing the world by the Explorer's Club, NYC in 2022. She was also featured on the Femina Fabulous 40 list along with women leaders like Priyanka Chopra, PV Sindhu, Faye D'Souza, Alia Bhatt to name a few. She's received numerous awards for her conservation work including the Sanctuary Asia Young Naturalist Award, Princess Diana Award for young change makers aged 9-25 from the Royal Family, UK, the Woman Icon Award and the International Inspirational Women's Award to name a few. Using the visual medium to create policy impact, she hopes to bring wildlife and conservation content to global mainstream media and is currently directing and presenting an investigative documentary in South Asia.
